How Can I See My DDR RAM in Windows XP?

You can verify your computer’s random access memory (RAM) in the panel where its operating system maintains the computer’s general system parameters. Double data rate (DDR) RAM is a type of SDRAM that transfers data at twice the rate of normal SDRAM chips. Memory in RAM chips is measured in billions of bytes (Gb) nowadays.

Instructions

Windows Vista

1. Click the “Start” button in the lower left corner of the screen.
2. Click “Control Panel.”
3. Click “System and Maintenance.”
4. Click “System.” The RAM capacity will be one of the parameters listed.
Windows XP

1. Click the “Start” button in the lower left corner of the screen.
2. Right-click “My Computer.”
3. Click “Properties.”
4. Click the “General” tab. The RAM capacity will be one of the parameters listed.
Apple Macintosh

1. Click the blue apple in the upper-left corner of your screen.
2. Click “About this Mac.”
3. View the panel that opens. It will display the amount of DDR memory.
